About the event
Late Spring and Early Summer offer so many plants that can be foraged and harvested for both food and medicine.
This walk will be interactive as we explore the plants to get to know them better through sight, touch, smell and/or taste. You will leave knowing ID, best harvesting practices/timing, as well as how to work with the plant and its benefits!
Just a few of the plants we might expect to find along this walk would be: Wood Nettle, Ground Ivy, Garlic Mustard, Burdock, Virginia Waterleaf, Cleavers, and more!
Beginners and knowledgeable alike are welcome! Led by Kara - a Practicing Herbalist and an Integrative Nutritionist, owner of Thistle Patch Wellness.
*This offering is held through Mankato Area Community Education. The link to register will be updated once it is available!
