Medicines of the Heart, an Herb Walk

Summertime is a time of abundant medicine and mid June is a beautiful time for the medicines of the heart. During this slow walk, we will meet and get to know several different plants, shrubs, and trees that are known to have an affinity, or likeness, to the heart and cardiovascular system. We will discuss the ways in which these plants can be an ally to not only the anatomical heart but also to the emotional heart.

Harvesting practices and medicine making ideas will be shared. Depending on what is available and ready for harvest, there may be opportunity for some light harvesting as part of our walk.

Plants we may explore include: wild roses, violet, linden, motherwort, yarrow, and more!
