Happy Autumnal Equinox ... and it's the Season for Fire Cider

Happy beautiful Autumnal Equinox to you!

Some see today as the start of Autumn.

Others see today as the middle of Autumn.

Either way, Autumn is here.

The leaves are beginning to change,

Goldenrod is nearly finished blooming,

Apples are falling from the trees,

The air has shifted,

 And the day length is shifting too.

Autumn, one of the big transition seasons of the year. (Spring being the other.)

It is the season we begin the descent and the journey more inward.

In this transition, we are invited to harvest, reap what we’ve sown.

We are also invited to release and let go of what no longer needs to journey with us.

If you feel called, you might choose to take a few minutes (or longer) to reflect upon the season's past. To feel deep gratitude for all that has come and to also allow any grief or sadness to surface and be expressed.

I know I will be taking some time to reflect later today 🍂

On slightly different note:

This year, I felt pulled to make the 2026 batch of Fire Cider on the Equinox.

After digging the rest of the horseradish roots this morning, all the ingredients are gathered. Soon the chopping and layering of all the aromatic and medicinal herbs will begin! 🔥🎉

As a friendly reminder, I am offering Fire Cider Make & Takes in two locations:

• Saturday, October 3rd in Mankato at Beans Coffee House

• Saturday, October 10th (2 time options) in Zumbrota at Wildmother

In addition, I will have ready-to-use bottles of Fire Cider for sale starting (likely) in late October. These 8oz bottles can be purchased for pick up in Eagle Lake/Mankato, shipped to your door, or purchased at Wildmother.

On that note, I am off to create the most beautiful batch of Fire Cider!
