Have you thought about the medicine you carry and how you might be sharing it with your community/loved ones? (If you’re not sure why I ask this, you can read my previous letter here.)
Part of the medicine I (literally) carry is the medicine of the plants that grow all around me. Today feels like the perfect day to share another client story with you ❣️

First, a little of this gentleman’s backstory. Shared, always, with permission
This gentleman was just 35 years old when I met him and he lives an intentional, fairly active lifestyle. Yet, about 1 year before his initial consultation with me, he started experiencing the most immense levels of pain in his left side. He described the pain as being “like getting stabbed”, it was such a sharp pain. This pain occurred every day - sometimes it would be barely noticeable but other times it would just about drop him to the floor. The pain intensity fluctuated throughout the day and he wasn’t able to figure out what, if anything, triggered it.
Being as he also has a history of kidney stones, he thought initially maybe that was what was going on but he said the pain was different. Plus, all the tricks he knew that would help with the passage of kidney stones didn’t touch this pain and no stones ever passed. (Drs confirmed it wasn’t stones as well.)
About 1 month after the pain had started, he went to his doctor and a specialist to see if he could find any answers. No luck.
Urologists, Gastrointestinal specialists, general medicine doctors/practitioners, and more than one CT scan later and still no answers or help in regard to the pain he was experiencing. Thankfully, he crossed paths with another client of mine and they gave my information to him.
He got in touch with me soon after. At this point he was willing to even try the “different” things like working with an herbalist 😉. (His sphere of people and environment are/were more western medicine aware and not so much “alternative” medicine aware - always an interesting conversation to have!)
Soon after, we met for his initial consultation. Per usual, we discussed what made him decide to schedule with me, his health history, what he’s tried/ how these things helped or not, some family history, etc.
In addition to working with various doctors over the year of experiencing pain, he also tried yoga, stretching/mobility practices, dietary changes (even followed the FODMAP for a while), topicals such as biofreeze, and heating pads. Anything that he tried, he really gave a solid chance to shift things and work. In some ways he would feel better, like with the FODMAP diet, but still the pain persisted, untouched.

Through pulse and muscle testing (as well as my own knowledge of his story and the plants I work with), we determined which remedies to start him with.*
-
After just 1 week, he could tell that the remedies were just starting to work a little bit.
After 3 weeks, he could notice a significant shift in the pain.. So much so that after just over 1 month, the pain was virtually gone.
-
The last we were in touch, he was doing really well. “I'm very happy with the results. Legit tried everything and the drops seemed to be the thing that helped…” he shared with me in conversation. He agreed to be in touch when/if he needed refills or a follow-up consultation.

What a testimony, huh!?!
Plants are incredible! They can be such a profound support in helping the body heal when matched well with the person!

P.S. “I’ve tried everything…” is such a common phrase I’ve heard clients say over the years. I am always thankful they eventually get the help they need but I also wish they could find what would help them heal sooner!
* As mentioned in a previous letter where I shared a different client’s story, I won’t be sharing the remedies this gentleman has been working with. Even if you or someone you know has the exact same symptom pattern as this client of mine, the chances of needing the same herbal allies is slim. Each and every person is different. Working with an herbalist helps determine which herbs will be most supportive with your unique person.
